Moving on....

Thanksgiving was great fun this year. We only had 35 who could make it to my parent's this year. Weirdly that was only half the family. After porking out on rolls and pie (the only part of the feast I deem mandatory) we had a family talent show. Besides all the traditional musical talents we had Hub rockin' it with his juggling skills and B and L's family show off their newfound yoga tricks. Did L really do the splits or was that just after-dinner hallucinations?

I am never one to dwell on the past so it is now time to move on. This means taking down our wall of Thanksgiving art

and putting up our treasured Christmas decor like this:

Just kidding. I can't buy one of these babies until I can make sure the kids won't break it. We all know what a broken leg lamp can do to a family.

Here's to pulling out all the Holiday movies, music and decorations! Can't wait!

That is weird that 35 is only half. I felt like I was going crazy with my whole family under one roof and that was 37. Trey loved the SF lights but I am not sure he was more impressed than just the typical house with a string of lights. But it is tradition at our house!!!!
Was their whole family doing yoga tricks, including B? I would like to see that

It did feel a bit small this year. Wouldn't go so far to say "quiet" or "cleaner" but it was kind of closer to those things.

I'm jealous of your freshly dead tree. When are you guys doing that? We haven't gotten our tree up which is a great concern!

The talent show sounds like a fun Thanksgiving activity! We sat around and talked while the kids ran around outside. LOL You must have one organized family. I like your wall of art, too. I never quite know what to do with all the art and crafts the kids bring home. I might have to incorporate that onto one of our walls.

We are onto Christmas too! Our tree is already up and all the decorations are out. Now I can just concentrate on trying not to get too fat as I eat my way through this month.

ok...so where's the cool corn the kids made at the Primary activity? Didn't that rate as Thanksgiving decor?? Just kidding. Glad you're ready to move on. I'm ready to move out...my house still looks barren and I'm not sure if I have the strength to get all of the next holiday stuff up. It's been a long few days away and LONG trip home. Hopefully blaring Christmas music might get me goin'???

Add that Leg Lamp to my Christmas list. I have always wanted one of those. And we all know it is not the kids who break them . . . it is the wife. Not that you would.

I am glad that you had a Great Thanksgiving! And GHEEZE you have a HUGE family but sounds like Fun!

Funny thing with the lanp we have a few friends who proudly display theirs in their large front windows of their million dollar houses for all to see. It is HILARIOUS! I still need to get me one of those.

At the BYU bookstore they have the little leg lamp lights that you can hang around the house. You could hang those babies high enough that the real babies couldn't get them!

short and sweet! and we got special mention. We'll never know if those tricks were for real cuz you'll probably not see them again! (Sorry to the missing 35)
great juggling lkm!
