One step closer to manhood

My sweet Mitch had his kindergarten graduation today. He was told by his teacher to wear church clothes. That was a very bad thing to say as church clothes are akin to being tortured in my boys' eyes. In a moment of defiance he told me he wasn't going to wear anything at all, not even his unders! I kind of wished he'd followed through on that threat as it would have spiced up the program a bit.

His teacher must have not been righteous enough since she was cursed with having Mitch and his favorite cousin Travis in the same class this year. We had an uncomfortable SEP a couple months ago where we were informed the two liked to "wrestle on the carpet" and they had "privileges taken away."

It was a lovely program replete with children singing, millions of cameras flashing and video cameras whirring, and my other children wanting to be anywhere else but there. This last picture is what you get when you realize you can't man a video camera and a digital camera and two whiny kids all at the same time so you let your 7-year-old take pictures with the less expensive camera.

Maybe Ike gets his great photography skills from me.

Wow -- you're quick! Jake graduates tonight and he also is supposed to wear church clothes -- which didn't look like it pleased him much either. Hopefully he will actually participate. He did great last year at preschool graduation so he should be good. As fun as they are, I'm rather glad we don't have to attend graduation from every grade!

Yeah to Mitchell!!! Such an accomplishment at such a young age! As a teacher...I'm not sure what I would have done with a streaker at my party!?!? Glad he had second thoughts on the outfit : )

Well, if Mitch needs a little help in the N-A-K-E-D dept. send him over...we are pros. Well, not me, just the boys. All I have to say is clothing optional seems to make me feel right at home these days.

Haven's kindergarten graduation was this afternoon - but it was also pajama day at school... talk about a relaxed atmosphere!

Ugh - can't even imagine if we had to have a special graduation ceremony every grade, twice is more than enough!

What!? I thought Anika was Mitch's favorite cousin.
Anyway, I'm glad they made it though the very tough-academically- stimulating kindergarten year!

I meant favorite BOY cousin that name starts with a T...no that doesn't work either. How about favorite boy cousin that lives a few blocks away? Are we all covered and OK now?

Okay, so where are Tanya's comments...I heard from her, so I know she is in the living!?

And the blog? I think you and your swinging sisters need to tag team her with a little peer pressure!

Cousins in the same class? that's pretty cool, but maybe not from the teacher's point of view. Glad they survived kindergarten and graduated with everything they'll need to know in life. Now that summer's here we can all celebrate that there's no more carpooling for awhile!
