Recent Deets

Life has been life lately. No cute pictures to chronicle the everydayness, sorry. I've been trying to update our 5 scrapbooks (a thrice-yearly project so it's not as bad as it could be), index records for family history (we have a ward goal and it's been a great excuse to learn how), started some online Christmas shopping, and then you know, just other stuff. Exciting stuff. Like cleaning house, helping at school, taking kids here and there, trying to cook real food and hope nobody notices when I don't eat it because it's kindof gross. But to spice this entry up I have narrowed it down to a couple of family highlights for the week.
* Played charades for the family night game. Nothing is funnier than Ethan coming up with his own charade. Like 'it was me playing soccer and riding my bike and going on a hike.' All in one. How could we not get that??

*Noelle learned to burp and loves it. No, she can't actually burp. But she says the word burp in a guttural voice and then laughs hysterically. Is there a girl in there somewhere? Time will tell....

*For a scout goal Ike helped plan, make and clean up dinner. Some of those scout goals are a little annoying (who wants to make a bird house? Not this mom) but I highly recommend this one.

*Mitch insisted some of his eyeball fell out. No amount of common sense could convince him otherwise because he 'felt' it. He does have a scratch right next to his eye, but rest assured, all of his eyeball is intact.

*Hub came up with a list of potential names for our next girlie. Sadly, the name selection process will not be an easy one as he has a few doozies on there. Which I better not share since some of you may have dear grandmas with those names and I'd hate to offend.
CIAO.

what - you're not telling the names? Now that I'm out of the naming years I enjoy the pain of it so much more than I used to :)

(glad the eyeball is intact!)

Everyday life is so busy! I was just telling Der that I rather enjoyed being sick last week (except the not feeling well part) because I didn't feel guilty for not accomplishing a lot. Every thing I did get done made me think I was amazing. Sigh. Why can't regular weeks be like that? It sounds like you have been doing good things. I'm impressed. Should I give you a list of names to help you name my niece?

Can you do an easy birdhouse? like a milk carton covered in peanut butter?
Hope Mitch's eye incident didn't happen outside of my house!? I never know what those boyly boys are up too...hopefully James keeps an eye on them since he's in charge when it comes to outside!
Sara can't hardly believe you haven't figured out a name yet!
As for burps, it's a good thing Noelle wasn't raised by my mom...I nearly got beat when my YW leader told my mom we had a burping contest on the bus (up to Girls Camp). For the fear of my mother I always use my manners : )

I will have to call and find out these names.

Don't pretend like you and Noelle aren't having burping contests together! You always were the best burper. Remember how you'd burp New Kids on the Block songs on long car rides?

I get a kick out of myself.

Well, my one grandma's name is Marie, so not too bad, but Blenda on the other hand...well, she was as firey as her name! glad you are in the living. We were wondering if you were doing okay. You never know when someone goes missing in blogland.

Your reason for not blogging is my exact reason for not blogging. I feel your pain. Life seems to be moving forward, but at a standstill. Really, NOTHING is going on. Maybe we shouldn't take it for granted. Before we know it we'll be running with our heads chopped off from party to party with a new little plate of food each time. You sound just as normal as everyone else I know. :)

Hey, I'm doing that indexing thing! I tried a census in Medieval Spanish--whoa! Had to send that one back empty.
That family history is good stuff and it should give you some good girl names to work with...that's how I was named. Feel free to use mine.

Next to dancing to Amy Grant, wasn't burping to Amy Grant Christmas the next best thing? Noelle is just doin' what her mama taught her.

For the record, and in case anyone is still reading these comments....I am not a burper! CC and DKAZ are messing up my image. I don't even know how to burp. My body doesn't need to.
